Rename request

[edit]

I oppose the rename to "Auxiliary buildings of...". Cooling towers are not buildings. Buildings is an apposite word for such parts of the power station which have a character of buildings. The word "auxiliary" would be confusing and unclear. --ŠJů (talk) 02:10, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The cooling towers has a own category. You know that. Auxilary is the specific right word for these buildings, because buildings is a relative word with wide span, what the word mean. Because the farm on the other side of the road (a former part of Krtenov), is also on the site where owned by CEZ. Auxilary Buildings means specific only Auxilary Buildings of the Plant, not other parts outside of the protected area of the plant. Best Regards ChNPP (talk) 02:18, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Edit: And btw: The words buildings can also used for the cooling towers, Auxilary Buildings not, because it means only Auxilary Buildings, not general Buildings, that's a further definition. Best Regards ChNPP (talk) 02:21, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think, it is useful to keep one common category for all buildings of the power station. Cooling towers as well as chimneys, pylons etc. aren't buildings (Gebäude, budovy) in the common sense – the word "structures" is a more wide term used also for such structures which are not buildings. If needed and possible, individual subcategories for separate buildings and other objects within the station or outside its main area can be created. But the word "auxiliary" clarifies nothing. It can be hardly judged which building is "auxiliary" and which isn't. In relation to the power station, rather the cooling towers are auxiliary structures. Main buildings with reactors (containment buildings) and buildings with water-circulation and electric-transformer systems can be hardly categorized as auxiliary :-) --ŠJů (talk) 13:53, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
