Relation between ‘Category:Buddhist temples in Korea’ and ‘… in South Korea’

[edit]

Can you explain this revert? Why should Category:Buddhist temples in Korea be a subcategory of Category:Buddhist temples in South Korea, instead of the other way round? I am going to re-revert for now. Dustsucker 14:48, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Korea is a geographic area and a former country, not a present country. Custom is to categorize media files by location, with location as precise as possible. Precise locations preferably have to be current regions, countries, subdivisions of countries, cities, particular places. There are not any North Korean temples in this category: therefore, its contents has to be moved to Category:Buddhist temples in South Korea, or more precise categories. --Juiced lemon 17:06, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome to either
It doesn't make sense to have “… in Korea” as a subcategory of “… in South Korea” in any category. Dustsucker 06:07, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
