Category:Beavers[edit]

This category represents the same thing as Category:Castor, but it's a child of that category. This creates a pretty unclear situation - should images in Category:Castor canadensis also be in Category:Beavers? I've seen a few references in discussions to a policy that species cats should use latin names, but I wasn't able to find that in Commons:Categories, so I though this might need to be discussed. I think Category:Beavers should be merged into Category:Castor, leaving a redirect. – BMacZero (🗩) 18:40, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
