Catholic Church vs Roman Catholic Church

[edit]

"This category is for both Eastern Catholic Churches and the Roman Catholic Church".

No. As stated in en:Catholic Church, both Catholic Church and Roman Catholic Church refer to the same thing. Roman Catholic Church is just another way to call the Catholic Church, which is divided in the Latin Church (or Western Church) and 23 Eastern Churches. So this category should be for both Eastern Catholic Churches and the Latin Church.

The misconception is also held in Category:Roman Catholic Church: some times is used as the whole Catholic Church and others as the Western part of it. Due the ambiguity, Category:Roman Catholic Church should be redirected here and Category:Latin Church should be created. --Grabado (talk) 11:52, 1 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
