Vandalised page

[edit]

This page was just vandalized by a person with a long, well documented history of hatred and persecution of Emil Eikner. I am restoring the bio info about him because (1) googling his name and and the Swedish word for chess reveals enough proclivity at the game to warrant that mention here; (2) Eikner has worked in Food & Beverage at fine Stockholm restaurants since 2004, usually as a chef, and I don't feel it's necessary to reveal here the name of the restaurant he now has cooked at since 2008 (especially not to frighteningly hateful people like Pieter Kuiper); and (3) his chairmanship at CabarEng since 2005, and the hundreds of shows at famous nightclubs he has produced since then, warrant his being called an entertainment executive. • All this was amateur theater; Commons is not the place for advertising a chef; "chess champion" seems a bit of an exaggeration. But most importantly: Commons categories are no replacements for biographical articles on wikipedias. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 13:06, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Any assertion that CabarEng does "amateur theater" is just not true. The many fine venues where these groups appear substantiate that fact.
Why doesn't an editor who passionately hates someone stay away from material about that person? Isn't our work at Commons supposed to be neutral and balanced? SergeWoodzing (talk) 13:20, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Where it says: "Performers (active members) split our ticket sales. Besides free training with experienced people, refreshments (no alcohol) are also provided to members, plus stages and rehearsal spaces downtown, free admission for friends, copies of performance video and photos, some travel, references, letters of recommendation and diplomas as earned." That is not how professional entertainers are being paid, I believe. This is a BLP issue. Commons should not have such biographical blurps. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 13:31, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't find the word "professional" in there anywhere, re: this item. And no, this is definitely not a BLP item. SergeWoodzing (talk) 13:35, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
