Categories

As far as I know, „Kobzarstvo“ is a kind of Ukranian music. It is no Ukranian Instrument nor a Bandurist. Code·is·poetry 11:22, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi,

Kobzarstvo is a type of professional music. In the 19th century done by itinerant usually blind musicians who played the bandura, kobza or lira or ocassionally with no instrument. In the 20th century non blind players and ensembles appeared. Recently there has been a movement back to authenticity. Thus the term is used in a broad manner like the term Jazz to include all the duifferent aspects of the artform. Bandurist 38.116.192.13 12:43, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

• Category:Kobzarstvo is the top category of all kobzarstvo related music. It is therefore in Category:Music of Ukraine since it describes genuine Ukranian music, and Category:Musical genres, since it is kind of a genre
  • Category:Bandura is the category for all bandora related media. It is located in Category:Instruments of Ukraine, Category:String instruments and Category:Kobzarstvo
    • Category:Kobzars contains media regarding blind bandora players. It is therefore in Category:String instrumentalists, Category:Musicians from Ukraine and Category:Bandura (according to the description, Kobzars exclusively play bandura)
    • Category:Bandurists contains media regarding nonblind bandora players. It is therefore in Category:String instrumentalists, Category:Musicians from Ukraine and Category:Bandura
      • Category:Bandurіst ensembles contains media regarding ensembles and is located in Category:Bandurists and Category:Musical groups since I do not know a better subcategory
    • Category:Banduras contains images of banduras (it is rather unnecessary, but well). It is only in Category:Bandura
    • Category:Banduramakers is located in Category:Bandura (there is no appropriate „Instrument makers“ category)
  • Category:Lirnyky contains media regarding blind lira players. It is therefore in Category:String instrumentalists, Category:Musicians from Ukraine and Category:Kobzarstvo
