Functions: This bot is used to upload small-filesize (typically less than 10K) maps of the 92 counties in Indiana, one per township, each map highlighting one township. There are 1008 townships, so there will be 1008 such maps. They are being done one county at a time; then the maps are being added to the relevant township articles.
Discussion
- Could you please fix description of early uploaded images using Image:Map highlighting Nevins Township, Vigo County, Indiana.png as example? Older uploads contains problem in license (plain {{GFDL}} without source), don't use {{Information}} and don't put themselves into Maps of ... category.
- Could you please use language template for descriptions (for example, {{en|This is a map of Vigo County, Indiana which highlights the location of Nevins Township.}})?

- Yes, I plan to address all of those description issues as soon as possible, as noted on the talk page for the bot. I'd be glad to include the language template as well; thanks for bringing that to my attention. It will be easier for me to address the description issues once the bot account is unblocked. I specifically tried not to move too quickly on these, in case unforeseen issues arose due to my inexperience with the tool (and since the image content has evolved somewhat over time). - As issues addressed, I don't have objections. However will be great to resolve problems with SVG and upload SVG maps (because of scaling). --EugeneZelenko 16:15, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- I just did a small test run, uploading a batch of two new maps (Image:Map highlighting Adams Township, Carroll County, Indiana.png and Image:Map highlighting Burlington Township, Carroll County, Indiana.png), verifying that the bot is also uploading the correct descriptive and license information along with the image. - I have no further objections. I would of course prefer more hires maps or even SVG, but I think the bot flag should be no problem. -- Bryan (talk to me) 17:26, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
- I think it would not need a bot flag for 1000 uploads in total, with runs of 5-25. Just upload them... Siebrand 16:03, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
