- Info View of the Vakil Bath, an old public bath with the status of national monument built around 1769 in Shiraz, Iran. It was a part of the royal district constructed during Karim Khan Zand's reign, which also includes Arg of Karim Khan, Vakil Bazaar, Vakil Mosque and many administrative buildings. - Comment There's quite a purple tint to the scene. Is there really a purple light? Or is this a white-balance issue? I appreciate the room is lit by various sources that have their own qualities. Possibly global-white-balance can't be set and needs blended for different parts of the room? Btw, is there any copyright issue with the models/set? -- Colin (talk) 08:41, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
- Colin: not sure about the tint as the areas where the models are located look good. I can though play around with the WB Monday evening and upload a new version if it looks right. Regarding your question whether those models could be a copyright concern, I cannot say, never thought about that to be honest. In Iran there is no FOP but is a reproduction of such scenes 1) subject to copyright? and 2) as it reproduces a common scene would it generate new copyrights?. I just know that it is going to be impossible to figure out who created that setting and how old is it (btw. if those models -or similars- have been there for 30 years and as it is a public property it would apply public domain according to Article 16 independently of date of death of the autor). - The figures in the middle seem to have a green cast but elsewhere the tint is purple. I would think the scene isn't old enough to be out-of-copyright if there is any copyright to begin with. But you'd need to ask our experts. -- Colin (talk) 18:48, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
- I thing a strong argument could be made that the models are COM:DM. They're unavoidable in photographing this large space and the focus is clearly on the columns and ceiling decorations along with the pool and walkway. Daphne Lantier 01:31, 23 July 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose tinted, HDR ? --Mile (talk) 18:18, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
- Colin, Mile: I applied a WB change and uploaded the result, looks overall good. Regarding Mile's comment "HDR?": yes, it is a HDR as the result of 3 images. Is that a reason to oppose? believe me the dynamic range of the scene was quite wide. Poco2 17:08, 24 July 2017 (UTC)
- Mile, I'd still appreciate an explanation about what is your problem with HDRs. It is easy to get your point with this kind of comments Poco2 18:23, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

- Support - Even if there might be slight imperfections, as discussed above, this is of high educational value in addition to being beautiful. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:36, 23 July 2017 (UTC)
