LabPstryk (English: LabSnap) was a photo hunt project organised by Wikimedia Poland, the Polish chapter of the WMF, in cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, a research institution in biotechnology, genetics and molecular, cell and development biology located in Dresden, Germany. The Institute allowed a group of Polish Wikimedians to take photos of their infrastructure, apparatus and equipment from January 21-24, 2011.

The goal of the project was to organise a cooperation of volunteer photographers with professional research staff in order to create high quality multimedia for use on Wikipedia and other projects of the Wikimedia Foundation (Wikibooks, Wikiversity etc.). Six Wikimedians took part in the project, including 5 photographers and a local facilitator (an employee of the Institute).

The project resulted in 688 photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, of which—as of December 12, 2011—around 36 (5%) have been used in various Wikimedia projects, including the Polish, French, Italian and Chinese Wikipedia. The total cost of the project came to PLN 4016.80 — which equals to ca. EUR 1037 or USD 1409 using the exchange rate from January 2011.
