  • Indeed, I have much to learn . . . such as what perspective even is. I looked it up on Google, and there were a bunch of pages saying that perspective is how you frame an object so you can tell how far away it is, which doesn't seem relevant to these photos at all. Very good question. There is a big difference between reality and the perception that our brain gives to it. Our brain automatically corrects our vision, but it cannot correct a flat image like a photograph. We don't like to be surprised by an overly distorted image. Since antiquity, designers and painters have corrected perspective.
