Reason The Disaster of Saint-Pierre. Nice and rare map of Martinique showing the eruption of the Mount Pelée and the destruction of the city of Saint-Pierre, which was the capital of the island, in 1902. Published in "le Supplément Illustré du Petit Journal", it is not the work of a journalist, but of a scientist: Eugène Letort was a distinguished member of the French Geographical Society. I think this map is the best in scope, and it provides many informations (I like very much the little boats). It is a very good document IMO, with a very decent size. No geocode, it is a homework (one can find the geocode of the Mount Pelée in many articles ;). Restored by me. -- Jebulon (talk)
