Reason | The Opera house of Bayreuth was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012 and soon after that closed for extensive refurbishment. While most of the renovation works are focused on the interior, the sandstone facade recieved a major cleanup as well. The picture shows the old, grey-ish appearance of the stones in the upper left corner as well as the now again visible original yellow, along with the reference markers left by the restoration company. -- El Grafo (talk) |
