  •  Oppose - I am not happy with the description. I could not see how the sundial worked. I then checked the Italian text against the English text using both the internet and my own paper English-Italian dictionary and they came up with the word "catoptric sundial". I then consulted the Oxford English Dictionary (to which I have an on-line subscription). I then consulted the Engish Wikipedia and found this article. I now think that I should be looking for a light spot to tell me the time. I should not have to go to this effort to find out what this instrument is. I finally found out how this instrument worked when I visited this image.
Also, the scope is worrying - this is first and foremost an image of a sundial, but what type of sundial - further research on my part suggested that the image should also be a member of "Category:Sundials without gnomon". Martinvl (talk) 16:20, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
