Reason Again with the elephant-head moth larva. This is the picture used on the en wiki. Not quite Featured Picture quality because the tail is not crispy sharp, but about the best high resolution capture of the real personality of this amazingly weird creature (if you could just see the teeth, it really is something else). Nominating as best in category. -- ~ R.T.G

@Archaeodontosaurus: Okay I've sharpened that bit and it seems to have helped with the overall blurriness. What do you think? ~ R.T.G 08:21, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Meritorious effort, but that can not match that kind of image MFG 2015-Deilephila-elpenor.JPG. Look at the changes in the syntax of the scope. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 09:13, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It's a technically excellent picture, just doesn't capture the fake head this thing has when it moves around in reality. That's what I was trying to put forward rather than simply the credit. But you're not wrong, every picture which captures the personality has an error, too small, or uneven focus etc. I think, when someone prepared to photograph finds one of these they move it or something. When I found one, I had a hand shears and was able to clip the whole stem it was on, but again the pictures I took of it have unflattering backgrounds and technically imperfect photos. Kind of funny :D ~ R.T.G 21:05, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It could best be described as the laughing snake caterpillar maybe.. ~ R.T.G 21:09, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Also, noted the scope edit. Vernacular, I appreciate that actually, ~ R.T.G 21:13, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
