  •  Support - Best in scope. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:19, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose I don't think we should promote an image showing dangerous behaviour like this. Charles (talk) 12:56, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    •  Comment - They're doing what every other visitor to the rock has been doing for the better part of a century. Before its closure, the NSWPWS didn't discourage interaction with the rock, just reckless behaviour, like stunts, which the people in the photo are not doing. In addition, there's nothing in the Valued image criteria that states anything about "dangerous behaviour", even if the image depicts such in your eyes. It's a bit unfair to hold an image up against unwritten rules. Philip Terry Graham (talk) 17:59, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
      •  Comment Oh I agree there's nothing in the rules. Just my strongly-held opinion. Just like I objected to a picture of a dead bird. I can easily be out-voted. I cannot judge the ages of the people, but since you know them I assume they are not minors. If you encouraged your friends to sit there you could be guilty of 'culpable and reckless conduct' or whatever law applies. I note you have another image illustrating the Wikipedia article, so how can this one be the most valuable? Charles (talk) 11:59, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
        •  Comment Because that was a bad crop by another user that doesn't show the landmark in its complete form. It's only kept on the article there because I'm giving the person I'm discussing the use of images with the time they need to reply, if he even does. I'm not sure what's with the personal attacks and consistent misunderstanding or lack of understanding of what Wedding Cake Rock is and visitor interaction with it. I certainly didn't tell them what to do, we just did what one usually does when they visit Wedding Cake Rock - sit on it, and that's what's illustrated here. I didn't command anybody to do anything illegal like you suggested. What is so alienating about the image of people sitting on Wedding Cake Rock that it triggers people constantly? It's been safe for over a century to carry out this tradition, why is it so bad to illustrate that? Can't a single discussion about this image NOT be about alleged "dangerous behaviour", especially from those who refuse to recognise that it simply isn't - that the people in this image are not committing any dangerous behaviour, nor are in any danger themselves. Nobody that has ever sat on the landing face of Wedding Cake Rock prior to its closure has been in danger. Philip Terry Graham (talk) 12:38, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Support This seems to be a special place, and I am surprised we don't have more images. I would rather like an image with less people, but we don't have any now. Regards, Yann (talk) 16:09, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
