Summary[edit]

Description
English: Experimentation of "biological corridor" planted. This strip of grass crossing a small street (with little traffic) was a test to see if some species (invertebrates that could no longer move) would cross the highway. Two identical way were temporarily installed at Festubert (formerly boggy area) in the Region Nord-Pas-de-Calais, the association Noeux-Environment, through the creation of a network of biological corridors . Experiments have shown that drivers not used to seeing grass on the road tended to roll over to the side, the only place where the plates are vulnerable. We must therefore strengthen the edges of this type of way, without preventing wildlife from passing. Plates of plastic material forming cells. Each cell makes the transition from invertebrates through a hole, but the transition is necessarily slow. It is useful not to add salt to such passage in winter. After a pedestrian is either twisted foot stepping on the move with high heels, the mayor decided to remove them.
