Ford Dabney was a relevant name in the evolution from ragtime to jazz in the early 20th century. Composer, performer and band leader. This piece was published by Jerome H. Remick in New York-Detroit in 1910. Dabney also enjoyed renewed popularity in the 1990s and beyond. Original score was found from Walter Cosand at this link under Dabney, Ford: http://waltercosand.com/CosandScores/ This is a reproduction of the original score, with reformatting from four pages to five for easier reading; had to add flats in the main theme such as at measures 5, 13, etc. because of the B natural grace note preceding; in the B strain the original has 3 staves of music which actually don't make sense if all played together so I've only kept the relevant melody.
