Description
English: A "lifeguard" -- a gay man in his 20s who helps mentor and provide counseling to teenaged LGBTQ youth -- walks in the 2009 D.C. Capital Pride parade in Washington, D.C., on June 13, 2009. The "lifeguard" volunteers with the Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League (SMYAL).
