Description
Deutsch: Ein Skandal, der keine Schlagzeile macht: In Deutschland sind 13,4 Millionen Menschen von Armut betroffen. Durch die Corona-Pandemie hat sich die Situation noch weiter verschärft, die Zahl der armutsbetroffenen Selbstständigen hat sich laut Armutsbericht des Paritätischen Gesamtverbands von 9 Prozent auf 13 Prozent dramatisch erhöht. Insbesondere Alleinerziehende, kinderreiche Familien und Erwerbslose haben ein sehr hohes Armutsrisiko. Wie kommt es dazu, dass diese riesige Anzahl von Armen in einem so reichen Land wie Deutschland offenbar achselzuckend hingenommen wird und nicht skandalisiert wird? Wie können die von Armut betroffenen Menschen selbst stärker sichtbar und sprechfähig werden? Welche Organisierungsperspektiven gibt es gegen die Unsichtbarkeit von Armut?

Diese Fragen stehen im Zentrum eines Gesprächs mit:

- Markus Ostermair (Autor, Der Sandler)
