Description
Italiano: Dionigi Bussola, Statua in rame di San Carlo Borromeo, in Piazza Borromeo a Milano. La statua era collocata in origine in piazzale Cordusio; ma la famiglia Borromeo fu costretta a trasportarla qui nel 1786, "entro dieci giorni", per "intralcio al traffico", dopo che la carrozza del governatore austriaco di Milano vi era andata a sbattere. English: Dionigi Bussola, Copper statue of saint Charles Borromeo, in Piazza Borromeo in Milan, Italy. The statue originally stood in Piazzale Cordusio, but the House of Borromeo was forced in 1786 to move it here "within ten days" for "obstruction to circulation" after the Austrian governor's carriage had knocked it.
