English: 18th-century oil on canvas painting circa 102 x 83 cm by an anonymous painter (English School) showing a half length portrait of Bristol merchant, alderman, mayor and benefactor Robert Kitchin (Robert Kytchin; Robert Kitchen), perhaps taken from a older, late 16th or early 17th century posthumous painting. Gilt text on the upper left:

„Robert Kytchenn som
etyme Mayor and Al
derman of this citty of
Brystoll and a Munifecent
benifactor to ye poore
of this Citty & to other
places of this Kingdom“

In the upper right the text

„Obiit Anno etatis sum 63“

below hist monogramm RK in a white oval.
