Description

The J-type MG was built from 1932-34, it was an improved version of the M Type Midget. The J2 got Twin carbys instead of one, 4 speed instead of 3 and a larger cabin. There were 4 versions; the J1 was a 4 seater. the J2 was a 2 seater. these 2 cars had the 847cc Morris Minor 4 cyl with twin SUs the J3 and lighter and more powerful J4 were racing versions and had a 746cc supercharged engine. The smaller engine capacity was to allow the car to compete in 750 cc class racing events.

This particular 847cc J2 has had a period supercharger fitted.
