Summary

[edit]
Description

The Fordson E83W, was built in England from 1938-57. It was also sold later under the Thames brand And also sold in Australia known as the Ten Ten. It was a 10 cwt (half ton) light commercial vehicle, aimed at the small haulage, trade and merchant market. Mainly available as a Van but also Flat bed Pickups, Estate Wagon and the odd Step side Pickup. Also many specialist variations such as mobile canteens, ice cream vans and even fire pumps were built on the E83W chassis. Visually quite different to its saloon cousins, the Prefect and Anglia, but it did share the engine with the Saloons but was geared down and got heavier axles.
