2009 Photo Contest - First Place, People's Choice Category

CARIBBEAN SEA – The Coast Guard Cutter Vigorous prepares to enter a storm at sea while on routine patrol in the Caribbean Sea July 15, 2009. The storm turned the picturesque day quickly to night and after a few minutes of violent weather, returned to its pristine condition. This photo won first place in the People’s Choice category of the 2009 Coast Guard Photo Contest. U.S. Coast Guard photo by Lt. j.g. Christopher O’Meara.
