9月20日，丰满水电站全面治理（重建）工程首台机组正式投产发电。随着新机组的陆续投运，老丰满开始焕发新青春，重建后的丰满水电站将继续承担发电、调峰调频、防洪防汛等综合任务。 始建于1937年的丰满水电站位于吉林省吉林市，是中国第一座大型水电站，被誉为中国“水电之母”，为中国水电事业发展及水电专业人才培养作出了重要贡献。
受历史条件限制，丰满水电站老坝设计施工技术水平较低，虽经多次大规模加固和系统改造，但先天性缺陷难以根除。
2007年，丰满老坝由原国家电力监管委员会鉴定为“病坝”，汛限水位下调到257.9m，无法发挥正常作用。2019年5月20日11时16分，老坝进行了爆破，建设5年的新坝开始挡水 |
