Nederlands: Het is 25 jaar geleden dat zanger René Klijn in het tv-programma 'De schreeuw van de Leeuw' met presentator Paul de Leeuw een memorabel en openhartig gesprek had over de ziekte Aids, waar Klijn op dat moment aan leed. Tijdens dat gesprek benadrukte René het belang van voorbehoedsmiddelen. Tot slot zong René het nummer 'Mister Blue' van de band Yazoo. Paul de Leeuw zong op de achtergrond mee. Het gesprek maakte veel los in Nederland en Klijn kreeg veel steunbetuigingen uit het hele land. Het liedje werd ondertussen een dikke hit en werd de best verkochte single in 1993. Niet lang daarna overleed René Klijn. Aan tafel hierover een gesprek met Paul de Leeuw, presentator van het programma destijds; Cornald Maas, Michiel van Erp en Nelleke van der Drift, redacteuren destijds en Rinus Spoor, regisseur van 'De schreeuw van de Leeuw'. |
