[edit]Description3 19 16 Weekly GOP Address On The Supreme Court Vacancy.webm |
English: In the Weekly Republican Address, Sen. Thom Tillis (R-North Carolina), discusses why the American people deserve to have a voice in the selection of the next Supreme Court Justice and the need for the Senate to continue its focus on bipartisan efforts to help hardworking Americans. ‘The President and Democratic leaders aren’t exactly thrilled with giving the American people a voice. And contrary to their claims, the Senate is doing its job and fulfilling its constitutional obligation by deferring consent in order to let the people’s voice be heard,’ Sen. Tillis says. ‘Both sides can respectfully agree to disagree, but it’s now time to move on to address the many pressing challenges facing our nation.’ |
