English: Pictured is an LCAC (Landing Craft Air Cushion) operated by 539 Assault Squadron Royal Marines training alongside an Off Shore Raiding Craft (ORC).
The Royal Marines and were training before taking part in exercise SAIF SAREEA 3. Exercise Saif Sareea 3 brought 5,500 UK armed forces together with over 60,000 Omani troops, utilising Air, Sea and Land assets in the Bilateral training exercise in the Oman. As a Bay-class landing ship, RFA Lyme Bay’s is able to deliver troops, vehicles, stores and ammunition on Fleet operations across the globe. This enormous ship helps the Royal Navy maintain the ongoing waves of an amphibious assault.
