Description
English: A twin engined griffin helicopter operated by 60( R) sqn at Defence Helicopter Flying School RAF Sawbury demonstration.

This aircraft is used to train RAF Pilots how to fly and manage a twin engined multi crew helicopter before they gain their flying badge. Weapons systems operators also receive training on this aircraft before they receive their brevet

60( R) sqn are part of the Defence Helicopter Flying School (DHFS) providing Rotary Wing training.

SARTU operates three Agusta Westland AW139 and other Bell Griffin HT.1 helicopters to train pilots and winchmen before progression to active Search and Rescue duties.
