| Description |
English: Boeing B-29 Superfortress "Gallopin' Goose." Boeing B-29-15-BW Superfortress s/n 42-6390 794th BS, 468th BG, 20th AF. Aircraft was lost on December 7, 1944 when it was rammed by a Kawasaki Ki-45 "Nick" being flown by Sgt. Shinobu Ikeda of the 25th Dokuritsu Chutai. The fighter had been damaged by fire from another B-29 before it flew into "Gallopin' Goose", tearing off the tail and sending it spinning out of control. Only the tail gunner was able to bail-out.
