| Description | A short section of contest action during the 2023 ARRL CW Sweepstakes, an Amateur Radio contest held in Canada and the United States on two weekends in November each year, one for Morse code (CW) and one for voice. The radio used here is an ICOM 7300 tuned to the 14 MHz (20 meter) amateur band. The radio's waterfall display shows the high density of signals participating in the contest just above 14 MHz. |

The transmissions recorded in this file are stylized exchanges exactly specified in contest rules: message serial number, station class, station call sign, date first licensed, station location code. Each station sends the identical message to every station it contacts, except for the serial number, which is incremented by one after each message exchange. The transmissions do not contain novel expression and are therefore not copyrighted. |
