Object history
Deutsch: Das Lambacher Wappen bezieht sich auf die Sage, nach der ein reicher Römer, der seinen Edelsitz am Attersee hatte, seine in Rom Christin gewordene Tochter Flavia, weil sie ihrem Glauben nicht entsagen wollte, nackt an ein Schifflein schmieden und dieses den Wellen der Ager aussetzen ließ. Nahe der Stelle des heutigen Klosters Lambach strandete das Schiff, das Mädchen wurde von Hirten befreit und fand bei ihnen bis zum Tode des erzürnten Vaters Herberge.
