English: A chart of New York Harbour with the soundings views of land marks and nautical directions for the use of pilotage. Composed from surveys and observations of Lieutenants John Knight John Hunter of the Navy and others.Single sheet. Engraved. Scale: ca. 1:50 000. Cartographic Note: Variation shown 7 degrees W. Ungraduated. Tide symbols. Bar scale in statute miles. Contents Note: Contains two views: Bond Hollow bearing S.b.E. Mount Pleasant half way between the cedars on the Hook and the lighthouse. Plate changes: Most of the imprint has been messily erased from the plate. The tree outlines have been filled in. Other features: Printed on Bates paper. Border yellow, land tinted brown, red/brown coastal convention. Fort at New York coloured. Views watercolour.
