Engraved. Scale: ca. 1:50 000 (bar). Cartographic Note: Variation shown 6 degrees W. Bar scale in statute miles. Contents Note: 86F and later variants show the situation of the British ships and forces at the time when d'Estaing's French fleet anchored and landed, from 29th July to 9th August 1778. Plate changes: Imprint Nov 1 1781. Other features: Printed on Bates paper, sheets not joined. Border yellow, land brown, towns red. |
