III. Ruth, third child of Henry and Sybil Ingalls, was born in1767; married Benjamin Ellis. IV. Rufus, fourth child of Henry and Sibyl Ingalls, was bornin 1769; married Mary Cole. V. Ebenezer, fifth child of Henry and Sybil Ingalls, was born in1771; married Mary Mann. To them were born:1. Abram; married Mehitable Ballou (born March 15, 1799) in Perry, Muskingum county, Ohio, in 1815. Rufus. Hiram. Isaac; married Portia Howard March 21, 1851. Ebenezer. Candace. Olive. Roxie. Mary.

Lucy, seventh child of Henry and Sybil Ingalls. was bornJune 24, 1777; married Stephen Seaward (born June13, 1772) February 19, 1795, at Decatur, Otsego county,New York. To them were born nine children. (See Sea-ward genealogy.) Lucy lived with her parents on Ingalls Hill until hermarriage, and was early taught the art of housewifery, es-pecially as pertaining to the needlework done in that day,and before her marriage she netted her wedding veil out ofwhite silk thread, a portion of which is in possession of theauthor.VIII.
