s againis No. 421 in the Venice Academy,a picture of hard red tone and wiryoutline unlike Cimas. Akin to the Madonna of PrinceNapoleon, we have a similar onecalled Cima in the Manfrini Palaceat Venice. No. 239, wood. TheVirgin here has her hand on the childs head, not on his shoulder.Ruder treatment, more broken dra-pery, and colour more opaque thanCimas proclaim the presence of acopyist here who may be Pasqua-lino. ^ Venice Acad, wood, m. 208 h.by 140. The frame of the Saviouris cold from cleaning and re-touching. (See the engraving inZanotto, Pinac. deir Accad. Fasc.XVI.) The figures are very cleanlydetached from the distance. Thefigure to the right of the Saviour isS Magnus. ■* Venice, wood, figures half life-size, signed on a scroll: Joanesbaptiste Coneglian. opus. Thescene is a landscape of cold tone, but this may be owing to the badcondition of the piece, sjilit hori-zontally in tAvo places and scaling.See the engraving in Zanotto. (Pin.Yen. Fasc. I.) North Italy. Vol. I p 24-3
