That arc-light therapy producessome physiologic effect by reason of its heat-rays cannot be gainsaidin view of the well-established action of heat upon nutrition, and inthe class of cases for which the cabinet treatment is indicated the mod-erate warmth is extremely grateful as well as beneficial. ISTor shouldthe value of the ozone generated be lost sight of. Its physiologicaction is to increase the number of red blood-corpuscles, the haemo-globin, the urea, and to establish nutritive changes, and, therefore, inthe arc-light bath the benefit is not the result of actinic rays alone. * Condensed from the Journal of Physical Therapeutics.
