Summary[edit]

Description
English: Chad Goller-Sojourner grew up uncomfortable in his own black skin. Despite the loving support of his adoptive white parents, he felt isolated in largely white Tacoma, a port city in the northwestern U.S. state of Washington. But he used that sense of alienation as a tool to build a healthy racial identity, both in coaching other transracial adoptive families and in his performance art.
