His wife,Margaret, was daughter and coheir of Sir Francis Willoughby, ofWollaton in Nottinghamshire; by whom he had four sons andthree daughters. She died in childbed in 1.597. Such a lengthof widowhood has been justly attributed to his intense affection,and deep respect, for the memory of the deceased.
