Description

CAMP DARULAMAN, KABUL, Afghanistan — Afghan National Army soldiers respond in unison with jubilant cheers to one of their leader’s remarks during a graduation ceremony here May 6 to commemorate their transition to becoming Afghan Corrections Officers. They soldiers are part of the first class of more than 200 Afghan Corrections Officers to complete training in preparation for duty at the Detention Facility at Parwan, where they will be some of the first Afghans to work side-by-side with American soldiers there. The soldiers will play a critical role in the transition of the facility from Joint Task Force 435 to the Afghan government. (Photo by U.S. Air Force Chief
