Summary[edit]

Description
English: Pointing at his wristwatch and staring directly at the viewer, Alfred Hitchcock admonishes audiences not to arrive late to a screening of his 1960 film Psycho due to its unusual "no late admissions" policy. This black-and-white cutout of Hitchcock with a transparent background is derived from a poster promoting the film.
Date
Source This file was derived from: It Is Required That You See Psycho From the Very Beginning! (1960 poster).jpg by Paramount Pictures
Retouched to make the image completely black-and-white, as well as adjustments to exposure/contrast.
Author
English: Photographer unknown; presumably a work-for-hire on behalf of the film's original distributor, Paramount Pictures.
Permission
(Reusing this file)
English: The original poster did not seem to include a valid copyright notice. Regardless, any copyright for the artwork was not renewed; see the Copyright Catalog (1978 to present). In order to maintain copyright protection, the poster would have had to be renewed in 1987 or 1988. Copyright lapsed at that time. Note that the poster is a distinct work from the film and had to be renewed separately.
