Deutsch: Alpine Peace Crossing (APC) 2011. (Anmerkung: Das unter Metadaten aufscheinende Aufnahmejahr ist nicht richtig.) Das APC ist ein seit 2007 jährlich stattfindender Gedächtnismarsch von Krimml, Land Salzburg, Österreich, über den Krimmler Tauern(pass) 2.634 m, in das Südtiroler Ahrntal, Italien. Das Bild zeigt das erste Wegstück vom krimmler Tauernhaus zum Krimmler Tauern.
Geschichtlicher Hintergrund: 2007 jährte es sich zum 60. Mal, dass im Sommer 1947 jede zweite Nacht 150 bis 200 Menschen aller Altersstufen den 15-stündigen Marsch über den Hochgebirgspass antraten, um in der Folge über Genua nach Palästina zu emigrieren. Es handelte sich um displaced persons jüdischer Abkunft, meist Holocaust-Überlebende, die in einem Auffanglager in Saalfelden im Pinzgau untergebracht waren und deren Ziel die Auswanderung nach Palästina war. Die reguläre Auswanderung über Tirol war wegen der dort stationierten britischen Besatzungsmacht nicht möglich. Ernst Löschner, der Initiator des Gedächtnismarsches, will mit dem APC dieser Menschen gedenken und an die Flüchtlinge der Gegenwart erinnern. English: Alpine Peace Crossing is a memory-walk crossing the Krimmler Tauern pass (2.634 m) to remind of displaced persons of Jewish origin, who in 1947 lived in a camp in Saalfelden, Salzburg (state), Austria, and also to remind of refugees of these days. Most of the so called displaced persons had overcome the Nazi-conzentration camps and wanted to immigrate to Eretz Israel. At that time this was illegal and because of the British occupation army stationed in the Austrian part of Tyrol not possible on normal ways (roads, railway..). In summer 1947 therefore every second night about 150 – 200 persons walked 15 hours in the dark – children, women, men and elderly people – crossing the alps on dangerous paths and without proper clothing and shoes to reach the south of Tyrol, since 1920 part of Italy, to leave Europe via the port of Genua. |
