Where flour is measured by cups, the cup is filled with a spoon, and a level cupful ismeant. A tablespoonful or teaspoonful of any designated material is a LEVEL spoonful. Asparagus Canapes PREPARE strips of stale breadabout an inch and a half wideand four inches long; spread withbutter on both sides and set into theoven until delicately browned on bothsides. When cold and about ready touse, spread with mayonnaise dressing,press chopped white of egg and siftedyolk of egg, a narrow row of one insidethe other, entirely around the pieces ofbread, in the center set an asparagustip, cooked, cooled and dried on a cloth,and sprinkle the tips with fine-choppedparsley.
