English: Remnant of a watchtower of the GDR border regime in today's municipality "Amt Neuhaus", southeast of the village Darchau in the dyke foreland of the Elbe river. In the background the wooded, hilly west side of the Elbe (district Lüchow-Dannenberg), in between the Elbe itself. (District Lüneburg, north-eastern Lower Saxony, Germany).
Deutsch: Überbleibsel eines Wachturms des DDR-Grenzregimes in der heutigen niedersächsischen Gemeinde "Amt Neuhaus", südöstlich der Ortschaft Darchau im rechtsseitigen Deichvorland der Elbe. Im Hintergrund die bewaldete, hügelige Westseite der Elbe (Landkreis Lüchow-Dannenberg), dazwischen die Elbe selbst. |
