287 es hier zeigt. Da ich die frische Leiche nicht erst injizierte, sondern das Nervensystem am frischen Kadaver herausholte und es in den Tagen, wo ich das Tier zur Sektion be- kam, sehr heiß war, war es mir leider unmöglich, die Extremitätennerven bis zu ihren Endorganen zu isolieren. Es glückte ohne Unfall, Gehirn und Rückenmark aus ihren knöchernen Schutzhüllen herauszunehmen und alle sensiblen und motorischen Nerven, wie die Figur zeigt, freizulegen und in ihrem Verlauf und ihren Endverzweigungen zu isolieren. Nach der Herausnahme wässerte ich das Nervensystem 2 Tage in Eiswasser, dann wurde es in 3-proz. Formalinlösung konserviert. Nachdem präparierte ich das Nervensystem unter Wasser sauberer aus und überführte es allmählich in Alkohol bis zu 50 Proz, Später montierte ich es auf einer schwarzen, halbkreisförmig gebogenen Scheibe, welche ich mir auf Rat des Herrn Prof. Lehmann dazu machen ließ, um so dem montierten Präparate die ungefähre Lage zu geben, wie es im natürlichen Körper liegt. Aufbewahrt wurde es in 70-proz. Alkohol und der zukünftigen vergleichend-anatomischen Sammlung des städtischen Museums zu Altona einverleibt. Hier erregt es das Interesse aller, welche Verständnis für die mühevolle Arbeit und anatomische Kenntnisse besitzen. ^.r ^ Für den Laien wird dem Präparat, wenn es später öffentlich im Museum ausgestellt wird, eine Zeichnung bei- gegeben, wo die Namen der einzelnen Gehirnabschnitte und Rückenmarks- nerven angegeben sind. Zu bemerken ist noch, daß die Photographie leider einige Lichtstreifen zeigt, welche durch die gebogene Scheibe hervorgebracht werden und beim Photographieren nicht zu ändern waren.
