« Celui que l'on a surnommé le Mozart québécois était un enfant prodige. En 1943, à l'âge de 14 ans seulement, il composait son œuvre maîtresse, le concerto no 3 pour piano et orchestre. On l'a rapidement appelé le «Concerto de Québec» en raison du fait qu'il est utilisé comme musique du film «La Forteresse» tourné à Québec. À son décès, il n'avait que 39 ans. » – Société historique de Québec
