Summary[edit]
DescriptionAnimation of the planets orbiting TRAPPIST-1.webm |
English: This animation shows all seven planets orbiting the ultracool dwarf TRAPPIST-1. The constellation of Orion (The Hunter) is visible below the star although it looks slightly different to how it appears from Earth because it is seen from a different star system.
The artist’s impression in this video is based on the known physical parameters for the planets and stars seen, and uses a vast database of objects in the Universe. Credit : ESO/L. Calçada/spaceengine.org |
