Anniston, Ala., April 24, 2014 -- Lara Blake, a hospital operations administrator at University of Kentucky, accepts care of a simulated patient with an arm amputation during the Integrated Capstone Event (ICE) in the emergency department at the Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, Ala. Approximately 80 healthcare professionals and emergency responders, representing eight of the 13 regional coalitions trained at the CDP's Noble Training Facility and the Advanced Responder Training Complex. These response personnel joined colleagues across the United States in the Healthcare Leadership for Mass Casualty Incidents (HCL) course, the Emergency Medical Operations for CBRNE Incidents (EMO) course, and the Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents (HERT) course.
