ulic Plant at Nipissing. The erectionof these storage dams allowing more suitable control of the flow of the river hasbeen a great benefit to this system. Although load was higher than last yearit was not necessary to operate the steam plant this summer or fall with theexception of a short time when the hydraulic plant at Nipissing was shut downwhen the new trash racks were being installed at the headlock to replace theracks damaged by ice several years ago. A new bridge was erected over the pipe line near the plant in order to trans-port the heavy equipment in connection with the proposed extension at this plant.Considerable maintenance work was carried out in connection with the woodstave pipe line and headlock controlling same. The turbine equipment at this plant was overhauled and put in good operat-ing condition.
