The demandfor architectural and structural drafts-men and designers with building, or plantexperience has far exceeded the supply inpractically all sections of the country. The total number of positions being re-ceived by the American Association ofEngineers is over 400 each month, withabout 250 of these filled by the Associ-ation. This large placement is tlue toconcerted local activity by capable em-ployment representatives. The averagemonthly salary of all positions filled dur-ing June was $192. A number of po-sitions above the $500 mark were filled. The National Stone-Tile Corporationhas been organized to manufacture andmarket this product and distribute theequipment for casting Stone-Tile. Theorganizers are men of wide experience inthe building industry who are thoroughlyfamiliar with the retjuirements necessaryto meet practical building needs.
